President Trump and Vice President JD Vance announce a $25 million whistleblower incentive program aimed at helping expose fraud and protect taxpayer dollars.
The initiative builds on the False Claims Act but seeks to address fraud cases that fall outside its existing framework. President Trump says the program will reward Americans who provide information that helps uncover fraudulent schemes.
Independent YouTube journalist Nick Shirley is reportedly the first recipient of a $10,000 reward after his reporting helped bring attention to alleged fraud involving Minnesota child care centers. The administration says 115 people in Minnesota have been arrested and charged in fraud cases since President Trump returned to office.
