Tesla is pioneering a new battery manufacturing process called dry electrode coating that it is applying to its new 4680 battery cells. Tesla is putting a lot of effort into developing a dry battery electrode production method, but results are taking a while to come about. However, a number of patent applications submitted to the USPTO suggest a development in this area. If this is the case, Tesla may be able to produce batteries for a price that is half that of present Li-ion batteries and that have a much higher capacity for charge-discharge cycles. With unique in-car amenities, straight-line performance, and autonomous driving, Tesla attracted a lot of attention and established EVs as a viable alternative to internal combustion engines. So much so that current EVs follow in Tesla’s footsteps as they hit the market. Tesla transformed the entire industry with its straightforward interior and exterior designs, condensed option lists, and direct-to-consumer business strategy.

The already sleek Lotus Elise served as the foundation for Tesla’s first vehicle, the Roadster, which was released when the company initially entered the automotive industry. The vehicle used a battery that generated 248 or 288 horsepower, respectively, and had either 185 or 215 kilowatt hours in capacity. Having the Lotus-like agility and quick torque that an electric drivetrain can deliver. ensuring the continued existence of the first-generation Tesla roadster, which was sold between 2008 and 2012.

Following the popularity of their first car, Tesla developed the model S. Tesla discovered a way to market EVs not just to the general public but also to some fanatics with the infamous ridiculous mode.
