Investigators say the suspects planned to use explosive drones to trigger an evacuation before deploying snipers against high-value targets in the crowd.
According to court documents, the alleged scheme involved encrypted messaging platforms, detailed maps, sniper positions, weapons, and potential secondary targets. Authorities conducted arrests in Nebraska, Ohio, Missouri, and California as part of a multi-state investigation involving the FBI, Secret Service, and local law enforcement agencies.
